ABOUT US
WM Masonry first established in 1999. A small family run business set in the Cotswolds. Banker Masonry is a Craftsman skill that has existed throughout the centuries and the Cotswolds are predominant in this craft.

ABOUT OUR WORK

We specialise in all types of stone work incorporating simple Chamfers to Tracery Windows and also all aspects of Classical Architectural building masonry. Here at WM Masonry we understand the working of stone and take great precision in producing our finished products. Stone has to be bedded in a certain way so that the finished work sits in the same orientation as it was formed originally. Some stones need to be orientated correctly for application; these include Voussoirs, Jambs, Copings and Cornices

We Offer Our Customers the Best Services & Solutions.

MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU

The primary influence on a building is always the environment to which it is exposed.

This is typically very complex, since it includes not only the weather, but perhaps also pollution, runoff patterns, the water table, ground movements and many other factors of this type. Every building environment will depend to some extent on the local terrain, and crucially on the way the surrounding land is being used.

The exterior environment has no predefined geographical limit, but extends out as far as any factor that might be affecting the building condition. The renovation work that we carry out is mainly due to the environmental factors that we have stated, this means that the stonework will often look very different from when it was first created.  As stone masons we always to invest a lot of time in understanding what the end creation should look, so that the restoration captures the original architecture without losing the site of restoration goal.

I have known Wayne from W M Masonry for around 10 years. Firstly as contracts manager of Pyments of Campden and currently in my role as Director of Woodstock Roofing Ltd based in Chipping Norton. W M Masonry have produced a wide range of Architectural stone for me ranging from simple coping stones to delicate and intricate ecclesiastical work on churches. We have just engaged W M Masonry on a project on the church at Wytham, Oxford where a new Apex stone and Cross were designed by W M Masonry and agreed by the conservation architect Simon Shew. The work was a great success and has breathed new life into the church roof. I am always delighted by the service provided by Wayne and his team and would highly recommend him to everyone who needs a stonemason. We look forward to the next project and working with W M Masonry again.
